Well-known and adored Chef Andreas of Villa Christina will be “moonlighting” for one day only at Salud Cooking School at Whole Foods in Alpharetta. Just like exotic Chef Andreas, the class menu is Greek.

On Saturday, January 17, 2009, Salud welcomes Chef Andreas to instruct the Hands-On Greek class, from 10:30am-1:30pm. Chef Andreas returns to his heritage with a delectable Greek menu including Mezes (appetizers) Garides Saganaki and Turopitakia, Salata (salads) Horiatiki Salata and Dako Salata (Greek Bread Salad from Crete), Kurios Piato (Entrée) Souvlaki, and for Gluko (dessert), Galaktoboureko.

Be prepared to cook! Flat, closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing are a must. Aprons and towels will be provided. Students are divided into groups at the discretion of the instructor. Snacks are provided during class. Towards the end of class, you will be seated to enjoy your meal along with wine. Class is limited to 12 students.

As he takes a break from cooking Italian specialties and tips his toque to his Greek roots, join Chef Andreas in raising a glass of ouzo and saying “OPA”!
